MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 are widely used platforms for online trading in the forex market, as well as for trading other financial instruments such as futures, options, and CFDs. These platforms are developed by the Russian software company MetaQuotes Software Corp. and are available on a number of different operating systems, including iOS and Android.
